Moshe Ben-Jacob counsels high net worth individuals and their families on a variety of US based and cross border income tax and estate planning matters. Moshe regularly advises on matters pertaining to tax residency, dual residency and the related crediting issues, Income Tax Treaties, Controlled Foreign Corporations (CFCs), Passive Foreign Investment Companies (PFICs), FIRPTA withholding, tax implications of reorganizations, Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) exemptions and the related strategy implementation. Moshe also has experience on matters relating to gift and estate tax, preimmigration and expatriation planning and has counseled clients from a wide array of jurisdictions including Israel, Chile and Canada.
Prior to joining MBJ Law PLLC Moshe acted as General Counsel for a nursing home conglomerate and has years of experience as a commercial litigator. In these roles Moshe was successful in litigating and negotiating on behalf of his clients on a broad range of issues including appealing adverse citations issued by government agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) as well as litigating and managing caseloads involving professional liability, employment and commercial related matters.
